Week 6

Prices and Decision Making

To conclude our investigation into microeconomics, we pull together everything you've learned to date on supply and demand as it relates to various economic markets. This unit will focus on how producers and consumers uses prices as signals, equilibrium prices and how they're set, the impact of shortages and surpluses, and how prices affect our whole economy.

Complete the Ch. 6 Study Guide (Worth 30 points).

Read Chapter 6 Section 1 "Prices as Signals" and answer Section 1 Review questions 1-4 ( worth 8 points ). Title your responses to this activity "Chapter 6 Section 1."

Read Chapter 6 Section 2 "How Prices Are Determined" and answer Section 2 Review questions 1-4 ( worth 12 points ). Title your responses to this activity "Chapter 6 Section 2."

Read Chapter 6 Section 3 "The Price System at Work" and answer Section 3 Review questions 1-5 ( worth 15 points ). Title your responses to this this activity "Chapter 6 Section 3."

(Midterm will be Wednesday April 2nd from 3:30-5:00PM at Silverado H.S. in room 4). Please remember to save 6 samples of your work and paper clip them together before you bring them to the midterm.

*Review and and prepare for the Midterm Exam Ch. 1, 2, 18, 4, 5, and 6.
