4. Research Paper/ Power Point Presentations (if time permits)
5. Ch. 11, 12 The Federal Courts and the Supreme Courts (2 Weeks)
A. Supreme Court
B. Circuit Court of Appeal
C. District and Special Courts
6. Ch. 4, 23, 24 State and Local Government (2 Weeks)
A. Federalism and the division of power between the National Governments and the Fifty States
B. State and local governmental responsibilities
7. Ch. 16, 17, 18 The Political Process (2 Weeks)
A. Study of election qualifications
B. Procedures and processes of Federal, State and local political systems.
8. Ch. 14, 15 The Administrations of Justice (2 Weeks)
A. A thorough review of arrest and trial procedures
B. Due Process of Law, crimes, and punishments ie. Civil rights
9. Review Week / Final Project-"Electronic Portfolio Exit Interview"( 1 week)
10. Final Exams (1 Week)
