American Government Course Description
Laptop American Government class (Civics) is a 12th grade semester college preparatory course in “American Government”. The class is college preparatory, and student performance, curriculum, and class expectations shall reflect this. In this class we will view American Government from a variety of perspectives (I.e. social, economic, political, and historical, etc…) An emphasis will also be placed on current events, as it relates to the curriculum.
Laptop classes are unique in that they offer different ways in how students access the curriculum and deliver information. The laptop course includes unique product like: interactive research papers, web site development, electronic portfolios, power point presentations, and a digital environment that is impossible to duplicate in a non laptop classroom environment. The laptop class also requires a greater degree of autonomy on the part of students, as they work in a business like multi tasking environment.
