The focus of the essay should be a 2-3 page explanation on how barnstorming basketball of the 1920'a and 1930's will evolve into an organized professional basketball league and eventually the NBA in the 1940's, through the early years and into the 1950's and 60's. Share major players, teams and the ever evolving labor union (players association). Explain how Spencer Haywood challenged free agency, which opens the door for basketball prodigies like Moses Malone, Kevin Garnett, and Kobe Bryant to go from high school to professional basketball.
